Light & Water
Most Philodendrons thrive in medium to bright indirect light. They are very adaptable and can tolerate lower light. Water when the top inch of soil feels dry. They are forgiving and will droop to let you know they are thirsty, much like a Pothos.
Vining vs. Upright
There are two main types: vining (like the classic Heartleaf Philodendron) and upright (like the Pink Princess or Birkin). Vining types are great in hanging baskets or trained to climb, while upright types grow from a central stem.
