Lots of Light, Little Water
This is the main mantra for succulent care. They need a lot of light, so a south-facing window is best. When it comes to water, use the "soak and dry" method. Water the soil thoroughly, then wait for it to dry out completely before watering again. This prevents root rot, the number one killer of succulents.
Well-Draining Soil is a Must
Succulents hate having "wet feet." They must be planted in a fast-draining soil mix specifically designed for cacti and succulents. Ensure your pot has a drainage hole.
